Youth and community education is a crucial part of reducing gun violence in our communities.

Thanks to supporters like you, this past year we were able to continue our work to educate young people and community members about the dangers of gun violence and how to make positive change in their communities.

In 2017 the NYAGV Education Fund:

  • Guided over 800 students in New York City public high schools and middle schools to avoid gun violence and instead become advocates for their communities.
  • Added a new youth program at Isobel Rooney Middle School (JHS 080) in the Bronx.
  • Added three new after-school programs at schools in the Bronx and Queens.
  • Awarded scholarships to four exceptional students completing the ReAction program and heading to college.
  • Took 200 students on a field trip to Albany, where they learned about state government first-hand.
  • Held more than 65 anti-gun-violence workshops in communities for youth, parents and other community members.
  • Taught about conflict resolution as part of an alternatives-to-incarceration program in the Bronx.

Your generous past support made all this possible. And with your continued help, we can reach more young people and community members in 2018.

Please make a tax deductible donation to the NYAGV Education Fund today.

Thank you and best wishes for a wonderful and safe holiday season and New Year.
