New Yorkers Against Gun Violence Ed Fund is calling on city leaders to reallocate funds from the NYPD’s outsized budget and invest in evidence-based youth and community programs, like its ReACTION youth empowerment program, which disrupt the cycle of gun violence.

NYAGV partners with the city, schools, and community-based violence intervention organizations to ensure that its ReACTION program reaches the students most affected by gun violence and gives them the tools to advocate for safe and just communities.

This program requires funding from the city – and you can help. If you live in NYC, please call your city council member and Mayor de Blasio’s office – you can find their contact information here. Tell your elected officials to fund NYAGV Education Fund’s ReACTION Program and the NYC Crisis Management System to keep communities safe and peaceful. Thank you!

P.S. In case you missed it, earlier this month NYAGV hosted a panel discussion about COVID-19, gun violence, and activism. You can watch it here (password: 8u*0W=U5).
