2024 Endorsements

Federal Endorsements

New Yorkers Against Gun Violence has announced a new round of endorsements for candidates running for the State Senate, Assembly and Congress in the 2024 election cycle. The endorsed candidates represent four regions across the state: Long Island, New York City, the Hudson Valley and Upstate NY.

New Yorkers Against Gun Violence is committed to supporting and partnering with lawmakers who understand the complex causes of the gun violence crisis and who champion effective, trauma-informed solutions to ending the cycle of violence and shootings.

NYAGV’s endorsement process includes a questionnaire requesting the candidates’ position on various state and federal government legislation that addresses school safety and training protocols, funding of anti-gun groups, and monitoring of firearm transactions.

Besides the NY state and federal races, NYAGV has also endorsed VP Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for the presidency to ensure the fight against gun violence continues to have the support of the White House.
