bus-imageOn Tuesday, May 3, we’ll be taking students in the NYAGV ReAction Youth Program on a field trip to the state capital–where they’ll get a chance to meet with legislators, share their experiences, and advocate against gun violence.
Albany Day is a life-changing experience for these students. Won’t you please help defray the costs of this valuable day with your donation?

These high school students–from Crown Heights, Brooklyn; the Bronx; lower Manhattan, and Jamaica, Queens–will also be able to apply the skills they’ve learned in the Program–public speaking, debating, planning and organizing.

 Here’s the schedule:
  • Morning: Meet with legislators–Thank legislators who supported gun safety laws and urge their support for A.2217/S.1302, the gun dealer bill.
  • Afternoon: Hold their own press conference in the Capitol Well, with outstanding students speaking on behalf of the group.
