domestic-gun-violence-croppedOn Tuesday, May 3, the New York State Assembly is scheduled to vote on the Domestic Violence Firearm Surrender Law, A.5257. The law would require domestic abusers to surrender their guns to law enforcement.

Please contact your Assembly member now and urge them to vote YES on this bill!

Under current New York law, individuals who have been convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence can keep their guns. The Domestic Violence Firearm Surrender Law, A.5257, would close this loophole.

When a gun is present in a domestic violence situation, the risk of homicide for women increases by 500%. Please help us disarm abusers and protect victims of domestic abuse.

Take action now!
