NYAGV Executive Director Rebecca Fischer speaking to ReACTION students at John Bowne High School.

Students in the NYAGV Education Fund’s ReACTION Youth Program are getting ready for their field trip to Albany for Youth Advocacy Day on May 7.

They’ll be joining Youth Over Guns students and volunteers from around the state for this exciting day, where they’ll have the chance to:

  • Meet with state lawmakers from their districts and share their stories about gun violence impacting their communities.
  • Advocate for measures to ban undetectable 3-D guns, fund gun violence research, and establish measures to address the school-to-prison pipeline.
  • Thank lawmakers for passing several new gun bills this year.
  • Connect with other youth leaders from New York communities across the state.
  • Participate in a press conference with lawmakers.

Will you sponsor a student to attend Albany Youth Advocacy Day?

For just $40, you can cover the costs for one student–including round-trip bus transportation, breakfast and lunch, and lobbying materials. Thank you for supporting the next generation of GVP leaders!
