Join us Tuesday and help keep the grassroots momentum going!

Attend the NYAGV Members Meeting and find out about the latest developments in gun legislation, school education programs, new student initiatives, and how you can get involved in grassroots efforts to prevent gun violence. Whether you’re already an NYAGV member or you’d like to join the cause, don’t miss this chance to come out and connect with fellow New Yorkers working for safer schools and communities!

Speakers include:

  • Shaina Harrison, Program Director of the NYAGV Education Fund’s ReACTION Youth Program, the gun-violence-prevention (GVP) program in New York City public schools. She’ll report on the students’ recent trip to Washington, DC, for the March For Our Lives, and GVP initiatives on the high school level.
  • Arman Becan, a New York University student who is leading the formation of NYU’s NYAGV Chapter.  He’ll discuss how college students are organizing to advocate for stronger gun laws.
  • Rebecca Fischer, NYAGV Executive Director, who’ll give you an update on federal and state GVP legislation and how you can engage in grassroots activism to help influence public opinion on gun issues.
