Congratulations to Jumaane Williams, New York City Council Member from Brooklyn, for receiving the NYAGV Founders’ Award at the NYAGV Annual Benefit & Silent Auction on November 15.
The event, held at in at the Prince George Ballroom in New York City, benefitted the NYAGV Education Fund and its youth and community education programs to reduce gun violence.
Richard Kind, actor and comedian, served as the evening’s master of ceremonies, and Mamarazzi provided the wonderful music.
It was also announced that the Allard K. Lowenstein Award for Public Service would be presented to artist, performer and activist Yoko Ono.
