Join NYAGV and a coalition of gun safety advocates this Friday, June 14–the 6-month anniversary of the Newtown shootings–and demand action from Congress on gun safety! Meet at the steps of City Hall in lower Manhattan at 1 pm and add your voice to the call for common sense gun laws: universal background checks, assault weapons ban,  limits on high-capacity magazines, and gun trafficking measures.

Join this Friday's "6 Months Since Newtown" press conference and rally--and demand that Congress enact federal gun safety laws.

Join this Friday’s “6 Months Since Newtown” press conference and rally–and demand that Congress enact federal gun safety laws.

Attendees and speakers will include elected officials, victims of gun violence, and gun safety coalition partners  NYAGV, Moms Demand Action, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, the Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence, Organizing for Action, faith leaders and physicians groups.

We’ll also be expressing our thanks to Governor Cuomo and New York State legislators for enacting the NY SAFE Act, which gives New York some of the strongest gun safety laws in the country.

Since the Newtown shootings, over 5,000 Americans have been killed by gun violence–and Congress has failed to enact even the most basic federal laws to keep guns out of the hands of criminals. Remind Congress you will not forget their failure on this issue.

Join us this Friday!
